Today for my senior capstone I spent approximately 2.5 hours researching and writting an outline with all the information i found. I got about 2 full pages of an outline completed. The sections of the outline that are complete are my Introduction and the first paragraph. This is just a rough draft and more will be added to it as I find more information.

March 3rd 2010

So an update on my senior capstone, I have once again slightly altered my senior capstone. At first my project was to design a set for the play "The Little Mermaid" and then I changed it to designing a set for a play that my friend wrote called "Wakin' Up Dead." After some consideration and looking into each project deeper I have combined the two. I will be designing a set for "The Little Mermaid" and entering the design into a state competition this coming April. I will make a scale model of the design and I will also draw the design on google sketch up and possibly revit architecture. With the play "Wakin' Up Dead" I am going to design the lighting for it and I won't be taking it to any competition.
Yesterday I fixed all my papers to fit this senior capstone. I also printed out all the papers and put them in my binder. Furthermore, I talked to the theatre teacher at Parkrose High School about my project ad she gave me some books to borrow for my research.
Today I have brainstormed a little on my paper and have written my thesis statement. I have also looked through some of the books I got from my theatre teacher and post-it-noted some pages that will especially help me.
My thesis statement is as follows:
Though many of the methods used in set design differ from architectural design, the process, the considerations, and the communication are closely related.
